Lorna Adeline Will
Funeral services for Lorna Will, 88, of Hamburg, were held
on Sunday, June 1, from the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg. Officiating
was the Rev. Donald Andrix.
Mrs. Will died May 27, 2003, at Ridgeview Medical Center
in Waconia.
The organist was Cheryl Andrix, and the congregational
hymn was “Lift High The Cross.” The Emanuel Men’s Choir sang “Asleep
In Jesus” and “Beautiful Savior.” The piano soloist was Mrs.
Will’s great-granddaughter Allison Kroells, who played “Baroque Dance.”
Serving as pallbearers were Jeff Will, Tim Will, Corey
Breyer, Lance Will, Pat Will and Eric Will. Interment was in the church
cemetery.
Lorna Adeline Schultz was born to Helmuth and Augusta (Stolp)
Schultz in Lester Prairie on Feb. 12, 1915. She was baptized on March 14,
1915, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie by the Rev. W. Greve.
She was later confirmed into the faith on May 26, 1929, also at St. Paul’s
Lutheran Church by the Rev. Arthur Spleiss. She graduated from Lester Prairie
High School in 1933.
Prior to her marriage, she worked at Weise & Kuhlmann
Hardware store.
She was united in marriage with Oscar Will on May 8, 1936,
at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie by the Rev. Stahlke. She
worked for Tonka Toys and retired after many years of work there.
Mrs. Will was a past member of the Happy Hamburg Homemakers,
had been a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg since her marriage
in 1936, was an avid sports fan who followed baseball and basketball, and
she loved to travel.
Survivors include her children, Marlene Graupman of Hamburg,
Warren (Barb) Will of Jordan, Darryl (Doris) Will of Hamburg, Douglas (Donna)
Will of Fort Worth, Texas, and Sandy (Bob) Herrmann of Hamburg; son-in-law,
Ernie (Jane) Breyer; grandchildren, Jan (Dennis) Kroells, Jodi (Paul) Langworthy,
Jeff (Tammy) Will, Tim (Donna) Will, Nancy Stevenson, Corey (Jessica) Breyer,
Pat Will, Eric Will, David Bohlmann, Donald Bohlmann, Lindsay Will, Lance
Will, Tracy (Tee) Johnson, Robin (Daniel) Lind, Jody (Mark) Stender, Lonnie
(Jeanine) Bacon and Marlene (Scott) Hoffmann; 20 great-grandchildren; brother,
Mark (Ruth) Schultz of Starbuck; sisters-in-law, Lillian Schultz of Rapid
City, S.D., and Dolores Schultz of Palo Alto, Calif.; as well as many nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Oscar;
daughter, Dianne Breyer; one stillborn grandchild; siblings, Sylvia Landstrom,
Melva Landstrom, Alvin Schultz and Orville Schultz.
Arrangements were with the Paul-McBride Funeral Chapel
in Norwood Young America.
