Clara Justina (Tina) Winter
Clara Justina (Tina) Winter, age 85, of Green Isle, passed
away Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, at the Waconia Good Samaritan Center.
Tina was born June 14, 1917, in Jessenland Township, Sibley
County, to August G. and Clara E. (Brockhoff) Wentzlaff.
She married Lawrence H. Winter at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church
of Arlington. She and her husband farmed in the Green Isle area for many
years. She also worked for the Fingerhut Corp. in Gaylord and the Big Stone
Canning Co. in Arlington. She had a genuine love for visiting, shopping
(including garage sales), and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lawrence
Nov. 6, 1980; two sons: Orlin and Hilbert Winter, and daughter Darlene Dahlke;
brothers Earl and Roy Wentzlaff, and sister Mabel Byer.
Tina is survived by her children Elroy (Palma) Winter of
Green Isle, Ellard (Deb) Winter of Arlington, Janice (Keith) Berndt of Winsted,
and son-in-law Richard (Mary) Dahlke of Dassel.
She is further survived by 12 grandchildren: Kay (Steve)
Quast, Gina (Jason) Oftos, Stephanie (Mike) Molihan, Andrea (Jon) Harbarth,
Kelly Winter, Joey Winter, Lowell Dahlke, Racquel (Sam) Rott, Eric (Kristin)
Dahlke, Aaron Dahlke, Brian (Deb) Jensen, Tonia (Russ) Johnson; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition, she is also survived by her brothers and sisters
Elmer (Bernice) Wentzloff of Gaylord, Marvin (Verona) Wentzlaff of Arlington,
Luella (Victor) Dahlke of Glencoe, Leora Stock of Arlington, Alice (Ivan)
Donnay of Darwin, Marian Wendorff of St. Cloud; brother-in-law Charles Byer
of Norwood Young America; and sister-in-law Flora Winter of Glencoe.
Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, at 11 a.m.,
at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Green Isle.
Visitation was Thursday, Jan. 30, from 4 to 8 p.m., and
one hour prior to the service time at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Burial was at the Arlington Public Cemetery.
Kolden Funeral Home of Arlington handled the arrangements.
