Raymond Zellmann

Raymond Zellmann, 82, of Norwood Young America, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003, at Glencoe Regional Health Services.

Raymond was born Jan. 9, 1921, in Young America Township, Carver County, the son of Fred W. and Ida L. (Graunke) Zellmann. He was baptized Feb. 13, 1921, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Norwood Young America, by the Rev. Martin Abraham, and confirmed April 14, 1935, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Chaska, by the Rev. Otto Kohn.

Raymond married Martha Lueck Jan. 23, 1952, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hamburg by the Rev. Louis Wohlfeil.

Raymond farmed his entire lifetime. He was also employed at Waconia Manufacturing and the sugar beet factory in Chaska.

Raymond was preceded in death by his wife Martha, parents Ida and Fred Zellmann, mother-in-law and father-in-law Lydia and Erwin Lueck, brothers-in-law Walter Neumann, Maynard Haag, and Robert Kuchenmeister.

Raymond is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law LeRoy and Renee Zellmann of Silver Lake, David Zellmann of Glencoe, daughter and son-in-law Judy and Phil Baldwin of Lester Prairie, grandchildren Teddy Schauer and friend Angie, Corey Schauer, Zachary Hecksel Schauer, Andrew Baldwin, great grandchildren Nicole Schauer, Andrew Schauer, and Dylan Schauer.

Raymond is further survived by sisters and brother-in-law Rosella Neumann of Waconia, Luella and Elvin Mueller of Norwood Young America, Lucille Haag of Green Isle, Bernice Kuchenmeister of Chaska, brother and sister-in-law Earl and Beverly Zellmann of Plato, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Dorothy and Walter Hansen of Fridley, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services for Raymond Zellmann were Sunday, Oct. 19, 2003, at 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Norwood Young America.

Casketbearers were Teddy Schauer, Corey Schauer, Rolland Ulrich, Owen Fuglseth, Leonard Haag, and Gene Kuchenmeister.

Arrangements were made by the Johnson Funeral Home of Waconia.
