Edna Emma Dorthy Buttenhoff Beauregard, age 88, of Jasper, Ark., and formerly of Howard Lake, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004 at the Regional Medical Center in Harrison, Ark.
Edna was born Jan. 29, 1916 to Fred and Alvina (Reek) Buttenhoff in Victor Township. She was baptized March 12, 1916 at St. James Lutheran Church by the Rev. A. L. Oetjen, and confirmed April 13, 1930 at the same church by the Rev. C. G. Seltz. Her confirmation verse was taken from John 11:25.
Edna moved to Minneapolis in 1935, working as a housekeeper, and later as a beautician.
She married Walt Beauregard Oct. 30, 1943. One daughter, Edell, was born to them.
Edna and Walt retired in 1970 and moved to Long Prairie. When Walt died in 1974, Edna moved to Minneapolis.
Edna moved to Longmont, Colo. in 1999 to be near her daughter and son-in-law. She and her family then moved to Arkansas in 2002.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Walt; her parents; and one sister, Ardis.
Edna is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jim and Edell Rose-Foreman; and three grandchildren: Nathan Kinsinger of Boulder, Colo.; Heather Kinsinger of New Rochelle, N. Y.; and Patrick Kinsinger of Minneapolis.
She is further survived by nine brothers and sisters: Leonard (Jeanette) of Buffalo, Lorraine Filt of Greeley, Colo.; Lila Chapman of Bailey, Texas; Ray (Ramona) of St. Peter; Otto (Gin) of Buffalo, Gladys Peterson of Cokato, Lucille (Len) Kraemer of Glencoe, Garland (Ruth) of Cokato, and Mel (Bea) of Howard Lake.
A memorial service will be Saturday, Dec. 4 at Hillside Memorial Cemetery in Minneapolis, with burial to follow.
