Lorraine Ann Boehlke
Lorraine Ann Boehlke, age 60, of Waverly died Friday, Feb. 6, 2004 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
She was born May 2, 1943, in Hale Township, McLeod County, the daughter of Leo and Clara Nowak Kulinski.
Lorraine graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1961.
Lorraine Ann Kulinski and Edward Boehlke Jr. were joined in holy marriage Sept. 11, 1965 at St. George Catholic Church in Glencoe. God blessed their marriage with six children.
Ed and Lorraine engaged in dairy farming in rural Waverly. She also was employed at The Walmart Pharmacy in Buffalo for the past 10 years.
She enjoyed cake decorating, gardening, bird watching and polka music.
Lorraine was a faithful member of The Church of St. Mary in Waverly.
She is survived by her loving husband Edward Boehlke, Jr.; children Pamela (Duane) Koenen of Alden, Paula (Barry) Fritzke of Watertown, Ronald Boehlke of Waverly, Lori (Richard) Smith of Silver Lake, DeeAnn Boehlke of Plymouth, and special friend Kevin Christ and Edward Boehlke III of Waverly.
Lorraine is further survived by five grandchildren: Kayla, Cody, and Tyler Koenen, and Matthew and Katie Fritzke; brothers and sisters Edward (Beatrice) Kulinski of Silver Lake, Marie (Clifford) Ruzicka Jr. of Winsted, Marcie (Robert) Ernhart of Howard Lake, Gerald Kulinski of Winsted, and special friend Jan Posusta, James (Marlene) Kulinski of Lester Prairie; Sharon (Ray) Bandas and Karen (John) Urban, all of Silver Lake.
Lorraine is also survived by mother-in-law Ann Boehlke of Waverly, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law RoseAnn Boehlke of Elk River, Elroy Boehlke of Waverly, Everett (Tammy) Boehlke of Howard Lake, Elwin (Becky) Boehlke of Buffalo, Lois Nichols of Howard Lake, JoAnn (Jonathan) Dimino of Bayville, N.J., and Eugene (Rita) Boehlke of Waverly; nieces, nephews, many other relatives, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father in 1961, her mother in 1995, infant brother Gerald Kulinski, brother Leo Kulinski, father-in-law Edward Boehlke, Sr.; and by a host of other relatives.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Lorraine Boehlke was conducted Wednesday, Feb. 11 at noon at the Church of St. Mary in Waverly. Father Timothy Clothier was the celebrant, and interment followed at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Special music for the Mass was provided by Bruce Bradley and Jim Strehlke.
Friends called at the church from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10. A prayer service was at 8 p.m.
Honorary casketbearers were Al Miller, Scott Youngren, Dan Higgins, Jerry Perra, Nic Workman, and Bruce Bradley.
Casketbearers were Dean Ruzicka, John Nowak, Kyle Kulinski, Steve Ernhart, Chad Bandas & Chuck Dressen.
