Cleone Mildred Dunne
Cleone Mildred Dunne, age 80 of Willmar, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004 at Bethesda Pleasantview Nursing Home.
Cleone was born Feb. 19, 1924 in LeMars, Iowa, the daughter of William and Emma (Detloff) Rees.
She grew up on a farm in Sene, Iowa and later, moved with her family to LeMars, where she attended LeMars High School, graduating in 1942.
Cleone began working at he Plymouth County Courthouse.
She was united in marriage to John P. “Jack” Dunne in LeMars Feb. 19, 1946.
The couple lived in northwest Iowa, where Jack did general farm work. In 1961, they moved to Grove City, and in 1970, they moved to the Willmar area, where Cleone began working at Jennie-O Foods.
Following Jack’s death April 3, 1991, Cleone continued to live and work in Willmar. She was employed by Jennie-O for over 35 years.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Willmar.
Cleone enjoyed crocheting and visiting with friends and neighbors. She also enjoyed working and keeping busy.
Cleone is survived by her sons: Robert (wife Lois) Dunne of Pennock, and Dennis (wife Sue) Dunne of Winsted, and son-in-law Walley Klingelhut of Ketchikan, Alaska.
She is further survived by six grandchildren: Jamey (wife Shanna) Dunne; Russell (wife Nikki) Dunne; Brian Dunne; Curtis Dunne; Ivan Klingelhut; and Alex Klingelhut; great-grandson, Hunter Dunne; brothers: Harold Rees of Mountain Lake, and Melvin Rees of Luverne; and several nieces and nephews.
Cleone was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Patty Jo Kingelhut in May 2001; grandson Matt Klingelhut, brothers Orville Rees and Wallace Rees; sister Lila Rees; and sisters-in-law Lois Rees and Ann Rees.
Visitation took place Sunday afternoon, Jan. 2 at the Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar.
Memorial service was at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3 at First Presbyterian Church in Willmar, with burial at the Cloverleaf Cemetery.
