Clinton E. Duske
Clinton E. Duske age 81 of Montrose, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004 at his home.
He was born in Marysville Township, Wright County, April 23, 1923 to Charles and Alma (Engel) Duske. He grew up in the Montrose area and graduated from Montrose High School in 1941.
Clinton served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. After his military service, he returned to the dairy farm.
Clinton was a life-long member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montrose, where he was baptized June 17, 1923 by the Rev. E. H. Bruns, and confirmed July 26, 1936 by the Rev. Alvin Leerssen.
He was also a life-time member of Wright County V.F.W. Post 1901 in Montrose.
Clinton is survived by sisters June Bodin of Waverly, and Shirley Bakeberg of Bloomington; loving friend and companion since 1986, Helen Brown of Montrose; brother-in-law Robert Olander of Richfield; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Alma; a sister, Delila Olander; brother-in-law Earl O. Bodin; niece Carolyn Bodin; and brother-in-law Arthur Bakeberg.
Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 4 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Montrose, with the Rev. Robert J. Hellmann officiating. Interment was in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation was Friday, Dec. 3, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel, Buffalo, with prayer service at 7 p.m.
Honorary pallbearers were Clinton’s many friends.
Casketbearers were Richard Bodin, Dennis Bodin, Jared Bodin, Charles Bakeberg, Joe Olander, and Jim Olander.
The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo served the family.
