Marjorie Marie Field
Marjorie Marie Field, age 75 of Howard Lake, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004 at her home.
She was born Feb. 26, 1929 in Thief River Falls to James and Josephine (Cote) Zavoral. Marjorie was baptized May 28, 1929 at St. Bernard’s Church in Thief River Falls by the Rev. A. I. Merth, and later, confirmed in her faith at the same church.
She was married to C. Waldo Field in 1956.
Marjorie lived in St. Louis Park, Golden Valley, Rockford, and for the past 10 years, Howard Lake.
She was employed by Hopkins House and the Minneapolis Auto Auction for a time.
Marjorie enjoyed playing bingo at the VFW, bowling, doing crossword puzzles, creating crafts, fishing, and hockey.
She is survived by her children: Amy (Warren) Dell of Howard Lake, Cheryl (Dale) Swanson, Tim (Karen) Field of Greenfield, Joe (Mary) Field of Maple Lake, and Abe (Michelle) of Zimmerman; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Marjorie is further survived by brothers James and Dale Zavoral; and sisters Sharon Borgen, Phyllis DeFoe, and JoAnn Hamm.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Waldo; and her parents.
Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 15 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Waverly. The Rev. Timothy Cloutier officiated. Music was provided by Mae Wannarka and St. Mary’s Funeral Choir.
Serving as casket bearers were Paul Anderson, Warren Dell, Joe Field, Dale Swanson, Blaine Dell, Abe Field, Shawn Field, Tim Field, Greg Swanson, Jeremy Dell, Clayton Field, Joe Penaz, and Nick Swanson.
Arrangements were by Swanson Peterson Funeral Home, Howard Lake and Cokato.
