Robert Joseph Goding
Robert Joseph Goding, age 61 of Milaca, and formerly of Winsted, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004 at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale.
Robert was born Nov. 2, 1942 to Robert and Violette (Larsen) Goding in Breckenridge.
After attending Robert Lee High School in San Antonio, Texas, Robert entered the U.S. Navy, serving on the USS Hancock.
He owned and operated Bob’s Precision Tooling in Plymouth and Winsted, and also worked in sales for Anchor Paper and Senior Computers.
Robert married Marlene May 7, 1982. They lived in Delano and Winsted, before moving to Milaca.
Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, sports, and horses.
He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and the Winsted Chamber of Commerce.
Robert is survived by his wife, Marlene, of Milaca; his mother, Violette, and her husband, Keith Cochran, of Dewey, Ariz.; children: Alissa of River Falls, Wis., Robert and wife Latricia of Virginia Beach, Va., and Ronald of Kerrville, Texas; step-children: Sherrie and husband Ryan Schwechler of Hudson, Wis., and Christopher and wife Alicia Leonard of Elk River; six grandchildren; a brother, Tom, and his wife, Vickie, of Greenfield; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert.
Memorial services took place Monday, Oct. 25, at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca, with the Rev. Jon Olson officiating.
