Pamela Mary Johnson

Pamela Mary Johnson, age 60 of Blue Earth, and formerly of Winsted, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004, surrounded by her family at her residence.

Pamela was born Feb. 27, 1944, at Winsted, the daughter of Anton and Margaret (Haas) Gueningsmann.

She was united in marriage to Stanley Johnson Dec. 20, 1975 at House of Faith Lutheran Church in Oakdale.

Pam was an elementary school teacher for over 30 years, teaching in many Christian schools before moving to Blue Earth Area School District in 1992. She also taught special education and evening tutoring.

A member of Faith Lutheran Brethren Church in Blue Earth, Pam was a Sunday school and vacation Bible school teacher, as well as being active in other areas within her church.

She enjoyed decorating her home, her dogs, and cooking.

Pam is survived by her loving husband, Stanley Johnson of Blue Earth; her nephew, Mark Boneish, and his wife, Nina, of Winsted; a brother-in-law, Alfred Kieser; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sisters, Lucinthia Gueningsmann and Margaret Kieser.

Funeral service was Wednesday, Oct. 13 at 11 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, Blue Earth. The Revs. Brent Walker and Victor Vriesen officiated. Margaret Curran was the organist, and soloist Linda Bakken sang “Precious Lord, Take My Hand.” Congregational hymns were “At Calvary” and “How Great Thou Art.” Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth.

Casket bearers were Steve Pilcher, Steve Bakken, Rick Gunhus, Joel Michaelis, Gary Skartland, and Mark Hauskins.

The Winter Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Blue Earth handled the arrangements.
