Clara M. M. Jorgensen

Clara M. M. Jorgensen, age 87 of Winsted died Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at her daughter’s residence.

She was born Feb. 21, 1917 in New Germany, the daughter of John and Mary Sterner Knott.

Clara Knott and Myles Jorgensen were joined in holy marriage October 29, 1946. God blessed their marriage with two children.

Clara was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and belonged to St. Anne’s Society and Comfort Circle. She also belonged to the VFW Post 9232 Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary 407 and oly Family Council 204.

She is survived by children Terrence (Shelly) Jorgensen and Jean (Jay) Hoffman; grandchildren Jesse Cafferty, Amber Cafferty, Mandy (Gary) Benz, Roxann Jorgensen, Crystal Jorgensen, Heather (Scott) Sibinski, Shawn Gilmore, Jolene (Jon) Maeyaert, and Jody Hoffman; great grandchildren Samuel Maeyaert, Haley Maeyaert, Noah Sibinski, Leticia Gonzales, D’ Angelo Jorgensen, and Brandon Benz; brother George (Eileen) Knott; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Myles; grandson Joshua Quast; parents John and Mary Knott; brothers Jack, Edward, William, and Raymond Knott; and sisters Isabel Laurence and Amandus Knott.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Clara Jorgensen was Friday April 2, 2004 at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Paul Wolff was the celebrant.

Interment was at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

A visitation was Thursday, April 1, 2004 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted. Prayer service was at 6:30 p.m.

Troy Baumann, Todd Baumann, Rich Baumann, Ron Jorgensen, Keith Pool, and Mel Laurence served as casketbearers.

The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
