Kenneth V. Kassulker, Sr., 71Kenneth V. Kassulker, Sr., age 71 of Brainerd, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004, at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd, after a long battle with emphysema. Kenneth was born in Minneapolis to Edward August and Violet Blanche (Terrill) Kassulker. He retired from the B & N Railroad after 44 years of service. An avid gardener who loved his roses, Kenneth was famous for his grilled turkey. He always spoke highly of his friends. He was a member of the Eagles, VFW, and the American Legion. Survivors include his three children: Laurie (Gary) Johnston of Ham Lake, and Randy (Heidi) Kassulker and Jim (Branda) Kassulker, all of Brainerd; nine grandchildren; three foster grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Delores (Keith) Beckman of Clear Lake; and a brother, Donald Kassulker of Minneapolis. Kenneth left behind his dog, Pedro, his buddy. He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Jr.; his parents, and brothers Edward and Jerry. Funeral services were Saturday, May 29, at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd. Burial, with military honors provided by American Legion Post 255 Color Guard, was in Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd. Visitation was Friday, May 28, from 4 to 7 p.m., and one hour prior to the services Saturday, at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd. |
