Lorraine R. Kegler

Lorraine R. Kegler, age 79, of Winsted Township, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004 at Hutchinson Area Health Center.

She was born Jan. 17, 1925 in Winsted Township, McLeod County, the daughter of Edward and Rose Neumann Marshall.

Lorraine R. Marshall and William B. Kegler were joined in holy marriage June 20, 1944 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with a daughter, Paulette, and a son, Keith.

Lorraine and William engaged in dairy farming for many years. Lorraine loved tending her garden and flowers.

She was a faithful lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.

Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Paulette Kegler of Winsted; her son, Keith Kegler of Winsted; a brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Arnold (Elaine) Marshall, Imelda Marshall, and Sophia Ziebarth, all of Winsted, and Magdalen Bebo of Silver Lake; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Kegler, Nov. 4, 1998; her parents, Edward and Rose Marshall; two brothers, Clarence and Donald Marshall; and by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Mary Kegler.

A Mass of Christian Burial was Monday, Nov. 8 at 3:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Paul L. Wolf was the celebrant, and interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

Friends called Sunday, Nov. 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted. A prayer service took place at 7:30 p.m.

Casket bearers were Paul and Mark Marshall, Ken and Clayton Ziebarth, Leo Kegler, and Bernie Quast.

The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
