Andrew A. Kole
Andrew A. Kole, age 84 of Green Valley, Ariz., and formerly of Wayzata, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004 of complications from Alzheimers disease.
He was born in Cleveland, Ohio Nov. 29, 1920.
After spending 39 months in the infantry (artillery) in World War II, he was discharged as a first lieutenant in 1946.
In 1948, he graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor of business administration degree.
During his lifetime, he was employed by American Linen Supply, and International Multifoods, both in Minneapolis; Farmhand Co. in Hopkins, Schwartz Manufacturing Co. in Lester Prairie, and Chromalloy American Farm Industrial Equipment Group; serving as president of Chromalloy/Schwartz Division in Lester Prairie for many years.
He was a resident of Wayzata for 25 years.
Andy was active in his church and community. He was known as a stern, yet jovial man. His workers and those who knew him held him in highest respect. The beautiful Christmas parties, which he and his wife, Marion, would host to entertain the entire Schwartz group, will always be remembered.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marion; three children; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service took place Oct. 14 at the Valley Presbyterian Church in Arizona.
