Donald P. Marshall, 80

Donald P. Marshall, age 80, of Winsted died Monday afternoon, January 19, 2004 at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park.

He was born May 31, 1923 in Winsted Township, McLeod County, the son of Edward and Rose Neumann Marshall.

Donald honorably served his country in the United States Army during World War II.

Donald Marshall and Imelda Osterbauer were joined in holy marriage May 12, 1947 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with two daughters.

He was employed for almost 39 years at Millerbernd Manufacturing, and retired in 1985 as production foreman.

Donald was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus Council 8253, Holy Family Council 204, and was a 50-year member of the American Legion Post 407.

He enjoyed woodworking, and especially making toys for his seven grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by parents Edward and Rose Marshall, and by brother Clarence Marshall.

Donald is survived by wife Imelda Marshall; daughters Colleen (Ken) Kaczmarek of Silver Lake and Mary (Joe) Fleischhacker of Mound; grandchildren Michael Kaczmarek, Jill Kaczmarek, Julie Kaczmarek, Molly Kaczmarek, Joey Fleischhacker, Eric Fleischhacker, and Michael Fleischhacker.

He is further survived by great grandson Brock; brother Arnold (Elaine) Marshall of Winsted; sister Lorraine Kegler of Winsted; sister-in-law Doris Obinger of Albertville; and many nieces and nephews.

A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial for Donald Marshall was conductd at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 22 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. The Revs. Paul L. Wolf and Stan P. Mader were the Concelebrants, and interment with military rites followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

Friends called at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted Wednesday, Jan. 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. A Holy Family Rosary was recited at4:30 p.m., a Knights of Columbus Rosary was recited at 6 p.m., an American Legion Ritual was at6:30 p.m., and a prayer service was at 7:30 p.m.

Casketbearers were Michael Kaczmarek, Jill Kaczmarek, Julie Kaczmarek, Molly Kaczmarek, Joey Fleischhacker, Eric Fleischhacker and Michael Fleischhacker.

The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
