Marlys Marie Marshall
Marlys Marie Marshall, age 74 of Lester Prairie, died Saturday, July 3, 2004, at the Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park.
Marlys was born July 26, 1929, in Silver Lake, the daughter of Alvin and Lillian (Tlustosh) Posusta. She was baptized and confirmed at the Faith Presbyterian Church in Silver Lake.
She was united in marriage with Dale Marshall July 7, 1962, at Faith Presbyterian Church, Silver Lake. This union was blessed with three children: Jim, Doug, and Wanda.
During her life, Marlys was employed as a waitress.
In the summer of 2002, Marlys became a resident of the Glencoe Regional Health Services Long Term Care Unit, and since early 2004, she has been at the Franklin Nursing Home.
Marlys enjoyed visiting with family and friends, espeically her granddaughter Amber. She also liked to cook.
She is survived by her children: Jim Marshall of Lester Prairie, Wanda Birkholz (husband: Reed) of Lester Prairie, and Doug Marshall of Hutchinson; one grandchild, Amber Birkholz; two brothers, Gerald Posusta (wife: Dariel) of Hutchinson, and Howard Posusta (wife: Leatrice) of Dassel; as well as other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Wednesday, July 7, at 3 p.m., at the Faith Presbyterian Church, Silver Lake, with the Rev. Dr. Ane Fitzgerald officiating. Barb Wawrzyniak was the organist. Congregational hymns were “What A Friend We Have In Jesus” and “Faith Of Our Fathers.” Interment was in the Presbyterian Cemetery in Silver Lake.
Serving as casket bearers were Mark Kuhlmann, Nathan Kuhlmann, Jonathan Kuhlmann, Dave Kern, and Randy Carrigan.
Arrangements were with the Paul-McBride Funeral Chapel in Lester Prairie.
