Celine Mary McGowan
Celine Mary (Isakson) McGowan, age 70, of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Hutchinson, died peacefully in her home Sunday, July 25, 2004, surrounded by her family, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
A Mass in Celebration of her life will take place Wednesday, Aug. 4 at 11 a.m. at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson, with interment in St. Wilibrord Catholic Cemetery in Severence Township, Sibley County.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3, at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson, with an 8 p.m. prayer service at the church.
Celine was born May 2, 1934. She lived a joyous life with her family in Gibbon, Minneapolis, Lester Prairie, Hutchinson, and Tucson, Ariz.
Celine was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother, and was active in both church and community. She touched the lives of many and was loved by all who knew her.
Celine is survived by her children: Maureen Pranghofer and her husband, Paul, of Golden Valley; Kathy Thompson of Brandon, S.D.; Michael McGowan and his wife, Suellen; Kelly Ottaway and her husband, Tom; and Chris Hubly and her husband, Mark, all of Tucson, Ariz.; and John McGowen and his wife, Karen, of St. Michael.
She is further survived by 15 grandchildren, a sister, Carla Lagerstedt and her husband, Gary, of Spicer, ; a brother, Gene Isakson and his wife, Jan, of St. Peter; nieces. nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Celine is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Margaret Isakson.
All memorials will be donated to Parkinson’s research.
