Isabelle R. Moy
Isabelle R. Moy, age 99, of Winsted, died early Friday morning, March 12, 2004, at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.
She was born Feb. 6, 1905, in Victor Township, Wright County, the daughter of George and Julia Czacalla Bayerl.
In 1929, Isabelle R. Bayerl and Frederick Moy were joined in holy marriage at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with three children.
Isabelle spent many happy years in the big brick house on the family farm. Isabelle and Fritz raised their three children in the house, and she helped Fritz run the farm. Fritz died suddenly during a St. Patrick’s Day blizzard.
Isabelle led a full and energetic life. She enjoyed cooking, and used this skill in a variety of jobs. She cooked for the residents of St. Mary’s Hospital and Home. She also canteened at Green Giant, and catered weddings for young couples in Winsted.
Volunteering was a big part of her life. You could find her helping out most Sunday nights at the bingo games at Holy Trinity. She also volunteered at the Worn-A-Bit Shop. Later in life, she gave many hours to the senior citizens at St. Mary’s Home.
Isabelle was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. She also belonged to The Catholic Aid and St. Anne’s Society. She will be missed by many people whose lives she touched through these endeavors.
Isabelle spent her last four years at St. Mary’s Care Center, where she was cared for by a loving staff and visited by her family often.
She is survived by her children: Roger (Marian) Moy of Winsted, and Kenneth (Joan) Moy of Mayer; son-in-law, Leonard Dusoski of Chanhassen; 12 grandchildren and 19great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Isabelle was preceded in death by a daughter, Marlene Dusoski; her parents, George and Julia Bayerl, twin brother, Fred Bayerl; two other brothers, Edward and Bernard “Ben” Bayerl; and by a sister, Clara Quast.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Isabelle Moy was Sunday, March 14, 2 p.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. The Rev. Paul L. Wolf was the Celebrant, and interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Friends called Saturday, March 13 at The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted from 4 to 8 p.m. A combined Holy Family and St. Anne’s Society rosary was recited at 4 p.m.. and a parish prayer service took place at 7:30 p.m.
Casket bearers were Isabelle’s grandsons: Tim, Steve, Michael, Milan and Myron Moy, and David Dusoski.
The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
