Wilmar A. Mueller
Wilmar A. Mueller, age 79 of Watertown, died Friday, May 21, 2004, at Elim Home in Watertown.
Wilmar was born Oct. 27, 1924, at Plato, the son of Emil and Erna (Debner) Mueller. He was baptized Nov. 9, 1924, at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Plato, by the Rev. Otto Eyrich; and confirmed April 10, 1938 at the same church by the Rev. J. H. Bunge.
Wilmar married Orla A. Lemmerman Oct. 31, 1945, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Watertown Twp., by the Rev. W. L. Stellwagen.
An active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Wilmar served as an elder and trustee, Mission treasurer, a member of the Fellowship Committee, and by singing in the choir and playing dart ball.
His interests included hunting, gardening, making wood crafts, and farming.
Wilmar also served as treasurer of the county food shelf.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Erna Mueller; stepfather Ira Schoeppler, father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Lizzie Lemmerman, and brothers-in-law Elmer Heckman, Wallace Jopp, and Hart Graeber.
Wilmar is survived by his loving wife Orla, children and spouses: Bruce and Pat Mueller, Joyce and Rick DeNomme, and Duane and Joann Mueller, all of Watertown; Vicki and the Rev. Robert Hagen of Coal Valley, Ill.; grandchildren: Michael and Bonnie DeNomme, Gae and Jeff Lueck, Paul and Laurie DeNomme, Michelle and Daryl Barfnecht, Rebecca Mueller, Noah and Nicole Mueller, Sara and Wade Erickson, Rachel and Dario Gonzalez, and Joanna Hagen.
He is further survived by great-grandchildren: Daniel, Kimberly, Ashley, Brett, Kristine, Nicholas, Courtney, Chloe, Tyler, Shelby, Michelle, and Gary; sisters, Mathilda Heckman of Norwood, and Bernett Jopp of Mayer; brothers and sisters-in-law: Harlan and Joan Mueller of Hutchinson, and Charles and Carrie Mueller of Ramsey; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Vivian and Curtis Schwalbe of Delano, Myra Graeber of Sartell, and Ernie and Mary Lemmerman of Richville; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services were Tuesday, May 25, 2 p.m., at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Watertown, with the Vicar Bill Hillyer officiating. Interment was at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Watertown Township.
Casketbearers were Michael DeNomme, Paul DeNomme, Jeff Lueck, Noah Mueller, Wade Erickson, Daryl Barfnecht, and Dario Gonzales.
Arrangements were by Johnson Funeral Home, Waconia.
