Doreen A. Ojanpera
Doreen A. Ojanpera, age 84 of St. Louis Park, and formerly of Cokato and Delano, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004, at Westwood Care Center, St. Louis Park.
Doreen was born March 5, 1920 to Peter L. and Amanda (Dahl) Johnson in Cokato Township.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; a daughter, Janet Burau; and a son-in-law, David Carlock.
Doreen is survived by daughters Judy Carlock, and Mary and Otto Conzet; son Charles and Denise Ojanpera; nine grandchildren: Jacqueline Carlock, Todd Carlock, Allyson Roskop, Kristine and Dan Hemauer, Sandy and Joe Theisen, Kimberly and Sam Gascoigne, Kellie Ojanpera, Racquel Burau, and Tiffany Burau; two great-granddaughters, Alexis and Madison Hemauer; and a son-in-law, Roger Burau.
Funeral services were Saturday, Aug. 28, at the North Crow River Lutheran Church, Cokato, with the Rev. Mike Nelson officiating. Music was provided by Lynda Peterson, organist, and Harvey Peterson, soloist, with congregational singing.
Visitation took place Friday, Aug. 27, afternoon and evening, at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
Casketbearers were Doreen’s grandchildren: Jacqueline Carlock, Todd Carlock, Allyson Roskop, Kristiine Hemauer, Sandy Theisen, Kimberly Gascoigne, Kellie Ojanpera, Racquel Burau, and Tiffany Burau.
Arrangements were by Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
