Judith Marie “Judy” Rohling
Judith Marie “Judy” Rohling, age 54, of Howard Lake, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2004, at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
She was born Sept. 29, 1949, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Edward L. and Jane M. (Sopkowiak) Yurek.
Judy was baptized and confirmed at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Silver Lake. She also attended St. Adalbert School, and graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1968.
She engaged in house cleaning for many years and currently, was employed at Dura Supreme in Howard Lake.
Judy enjoyed flowers and gardening, and could be described as having a “green thumb.”
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Bernie Rohling; four children: Karry (Steve) Rohling of Winsted, Sharon Rohling of Buffalo, Debbie (Kirt) Anderson of Cokato, and Travis (Tracy Erlitz) Rohling of Buffalo; and grandchildren: Julie, Karen and Steven Rohling Jr.; Trevor, Kimberly and Michael.
Judy is further survived by her father, Edward Yurek of Silver Lake; sisters and brothers: Luanne (Jarvis) Reiner and Milan (Deb) Yurek, all of Hutchinson; Laura (George) Jones and Loren (Patty) Yurek, all of Silver Lake; and Phyllis (Jeff) Pieschke of Glencoe; a brother-in-law, Raymond Rohling; aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jane Marie Yurek on March 27, 1999, an infant brother, and her grandparents: Louis and Jennie Yurek, and Warren and Sophie Sopkowiak.
A memorial Mass for Judith Rohling was Tuesday, March 2, 2004, 2 p.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. The Rev. Paul L. Wolf was the Celebrant, and Deacon Jeremy Kucera assisted. Interment was at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Silver Lake.
Friends called at the church on one hour prior to the Mass on Tuesday.
The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake served the family.
