Vivian Bernice Rose
Vivian Bernice Rose, age 83, formerly of Annandale, died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2004 at her home in Eden Prairie, where she has lived the past 1 1⁄2 years.
Vivian Bernice Rose was born Oct. 5, 1920 at Milaca to Willie and Alice (McKenzie) Nelson. She lived most of her lifetime in the Annandale area.
She married Erwin Rose July 6, 1945 in Fair Haven, and he preceded her in death Feb. 7, 1979.
Vivian was a homemaker.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, and was a former Sunday school teacher.
She enjoyed Twins baseball, fishing, the piano, and rug making.
Vivian is survived by three children: Virgil (Diane) of Anoka, Vivian (Steve) of New London, and Vernone (Terrell) of Eden Prairie; a brother, Millard (Shirley) Nelson of South Haven; four grandchildren:Michelle (Theodor) Hoehn of Stuttgart, Germany; Erika (Jason) Gibson of Minneapolis, Tanya (Monte) Johnston of Eden Prairie, and Derek Wright of North St. Paul; and three great-grandchildren: Levi, Tori, and Samuel.
Her husband, Erwin, and a son, Vaughn, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were Saturday, Sept. 4 at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Annandale, with the Rev. Thomas Queck officiating. Ken Seifert, Kathy Queck, and Dennis Jopp provided music for the service. Burial followed in Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield.
Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3 at Zion Lutheran Church, and also one hour prior to services on Saturday.
Pallbearers were Donald and LeRoy Rose, Terry, Tim, and Mike Nelson, and Wayne Hemerick.
Memorials are preferred to the Methodist Hospital Hospice Program or Prairie Adult Care, Eden Prairie.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
