Nelson Francis Stanley, age 59, ofAnnandale, died Thursday, June 3, 2004, at his home.
Funeral services were Monday, June 7 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Christ, Kimball, with the Rev. Jerry Albert officiating. Burial followed in the Kimball Cemetery.
Nelson was born March 23, 1945 at Hammond, Ill. to Clifford and Dansel (Galloway) Stanley.
He married Traci Patterson Dec. 7, 1968 in Tuscola, Ill.
Nelson was an owner and executive vice-president of Drop Ship Express, Maple Plain.
He was a member of the Church of Christ, where he served as an elder for the past several years.
He enjoyed motorcycling, hunting, fishing, and Civil War antiques.
Nelson is survived by his wife, Traci of Annandale; his sons and their wives: Jeffrey and Kelly of Atwood, Ill.; Benjamin and Jennifer of Roanoke, Texas; Tyson and Bridget of Annandale; and Joshua and Torri of Kimball; and eight grandchildren.
He is further survived by brothers, sisters, and their spouses: Ronald and Frankie of Columbia, Ill.; Edward and Kathy of Arcola, Ill.; Lois and Bill Henderson of Pierson, Ill.; Yvonne and Mark Corbit of Salt Lake City, Utah; Margaret Ann and Gene Newberry of Lovington, Ill.; Inez and Don Phipps of Altamont, Ill.; and Tina and Mike Evans of Newton, Ill.
A brother, Lloyd Gene, preceded him in death.
Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue today from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
Providing music for the funeral service will be Janet and Richard Eckman, Joyce Albert, Shari Goff, Tracy Bruns, and Lori Miller.
Serving as pallbearers are Carmon and Ed Goff, Richard Eckman, Art Bowles, Dwayne Bruns, Jack Miller, and Robert Blanchard.
Arrangements are by Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
