Joseph Lee Walhowe, age 48 of Monticello Township, died Friday, Oct. 29, 2004 in Middleville Township.
He was born in Buffalo July 10, 1956, the son of Wilbur C. and Johnny L. Hall Walhowe.
Joseph grew up in Marysville Township. He attended the Carlson Country School through eighth grade, and later attended Buffalo High School.
He was formerly employed as a mechanic at Rock Bottom Motorcycles, Loram Maintenance, and Glen’s Truck Center.
Joseph enjoyed fishing, the out-of-doors and riding motorcycles. He also liked restoring cars, boats, and motorcycles.
He is survived by sisters and brothers: Cheri Drum of Ocala, Fla., Carol (Daniel) Bitzer of Monticello, Dave Walhowe of Waconia, and Roger Walhowe of Westminster, Colo.; nieces and nephews: Christine Drum, Scott Bitzer, Sarah (Jeff) Hochstedler, Steven Bitzer, Jessica Walhowe, Chad Walhowe, Jerod Walhowe, Jamie Cooper, Vankeia Walhowe, Katherina Walhowe, Richard Vincent, and Alex Donaldson; a grand niece and grand nephew, Hannah and Trevor Hochstedler; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Wilbur Walhowe on Dec. 25, 1978, and Johnny Walhowe on May 22, 1984.
A time of gathering for family friends took place Wednesday, Nov. 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.
