Mildred Pauline Anderson

Mildred Pauline Anderson, age 89 of Cokato, died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2005 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

She was born April 7, 1916 in Cokato, to Victor and. Pauline (Knade) Lundeen. Mildred was baptized and confirmed at the Cokato Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she remained a lifelong member,

Mildred was united in marriage to Edward Anderson Jan. 8, 1938. They made their home in Cokato where Mildred was employed at Johnson Produce, Green Giant, Gambles, Peterson Pharmacy, and Keaveny Drug.

The couple sold tbeir home in October 1994 and moved to Litchfield. Edward passed away in July of 1996.

Mildred remained in Litchfield before returning to Cokato in November 2004.

Mildred will be remembered for her lifelong devotion to her family and her strong work ethic. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and visiting with family and friends. You couldn’t leave her home without having a cup of coffee and something to eat.

Mildred was a very loving and caring person with a good sense of humor, and she will be lovingly missed.

She is survived by her son, Dale (Carol) Anderson of Cokato; daughter Paulette (Gerald) Biermann of Alexandria; three grandsons; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul (Francis) Lundeen of Hutchinson; and a sister, Lorraine (Earl) Olson of Willmar.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Harvey, Lawrence, Marvin, and Elmer; and sister Eleanor Dahlen.

Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 28 at 2 p.m. at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cokato with the Rev. Steve Thorson officiating. Music was by Karen Anderson and Amy Thostenson. Interment followed at Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Jess Anderson, Scott Anderson, Jeff Biermann, Curt Lundeen, Douglas Lundeen, and Steven Lundeen.

Arrangements were by Swanson Peterson Funeral Home in Cokato.
