Idella H. Bahr

Idella H. Bahr, age 85 of Waconia, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.

She was born April 10, 1920 at Winsted Twp., Lester Prairie, the daughter of Emil and Emma (Lempher) Birkholz. Idella was baptized May 2, 1920 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Lester Prairie, by the Rev. W. Baumhefner; and confirmed March 25, 1934 at the same church by the Rev. Shert.

Idella married Albert E. Bahr June 25, 1941 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Lester Prairie, by the Rev. A. VomHof.

Idella and Albert farmed for many years before moving to Waconia.

Idella was employed by Tonka Toys. In addition, she and Albert were custodians at First National Bank of Waconia.

She was a member of Seniors for Christ at Trinity Lutheran Church; and enjoyed delivering Meals on Wheels.

Idella was a loving wife and aunt.

She is survived by her loving husband, Albert; sisters-in-law Minnie Bahr of San Diego, Calif.; Barbara Zebell of Waconia; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Idella was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Emma Birkholz; brothers and sisters-in-law Alfred Birkholz, Marvin and Dorothy Birkholz, Albert and Sevilla Birkholz, Harold and Adeline Birkholz, Arthur Birkholz, and George and Lydia Birkholz; mother-in-law and father-in-law Augusta and Frank Bahr; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Edwin Bahr, Leonard and Leona Zebell, and Henry and Vernetta Bahr.

Funeral services were Friday, Nov. 11, at 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Waconia, with the Rev. Peter Peitsch officiating. Interment followed at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Waconia.

Casket bearers were Doug Dibb, George Birkholz, Ken Bahr, Gary Zebell, Jeff Jenneke, and Jason Jenneke.

Arrangements were by the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia.
