Lucille R. Bickmann

Lucille R. Bickmann, age 88, of Howard Lake died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.

She was born Oct. 29, 1917 in Hollywood Township, Carver County, the daughter of Paul and Mary (Burns) Campbell.

Lucille R. Campbell and Donald Alois Bickmann were joined in holy marriage Nov. 15, 1944 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with four children.

Lucille and Donald engaged in dairy farming in Victor Township, Wright County, for many years.

Lucille enjoyed gardening, was an excellent cook, and liked to make bread. She also enjoyed the time she could spend with her grandchildren and visiting with people.

When she was in good health, Lucille attended Mass daily, and faithfully prayed the rosary.

She was a faithful, lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Lucille belonged to the St. Anne’s Society and the Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post 9232.

Lucille is survived by her children, John P. Bickmann, Colleen Bickman and special friend Tim Brandenburg, and Donald J. Bickmann, all of Howard Lake, and Mary J. Entinger of Litchfield; nine grandchildren: Jennifer Bickman and special friend Ron Wilson, Christopher Bickmann and special friend Tina Roepke, Patrick (Barb) Bickmann, Jeffrey Bickmann, Tonya (Tom) Karels, and Paul, Tammy, Jonathan, and Brittany Entinger; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Magdalen Campbell, Felix (Sophie) Bickman, and Charlotte Hance; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Alois Bickmann, in 1974; her parents, Paul and Mary Campbell; and by two sisters, Margaret Remer and Marie Larkin.

A concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial took place at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 28 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. The Revs. Paul L. Wolf and Ambrose J. Mahon were the celebrants. Interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

Friends called Sunday, Nov. 27 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted.

Casket bearers were Lucille’s nine grandchildren.: Jennifer Bickman, Christopher Bickmann, Patrick Bickmann, Jeffrey Bickmann and Tonya Karels, Paul Entinger, Tammy Entinger, Jonathan Entinger and Brittany Entinger.

The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
