Harry R. Carlson

Harry R. Carlson, 76, of Arizona, formerly of Cokato, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2005.

Services were held, Wednesday, Jan. 4 at national Memorial Cemetery, Phoenix, AZ.

Contributions in memory of Harry Carlson, may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 13620 N. 55th Ave., Glendale, AZ 85304.

He was born in Cokato to Harry and Mable Carlson. He moved to Arizona in 1958.

Harry served in the US Coast Guard.

He was a mechanic most of his adult life, and also was employed by Auto Safety House. Harry retired from Salt River Project after 20 years of service.

He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Norma Carlson; a brother, John of Buffalo; sisters, Marjorie Krueger of Bellvue, Wash., and Luann Johnson of Burnsville; stepchildren, Sharon Kay, Rhonda Woolwine, Nikki Valenzuela, James Stoney and Kim Cramer; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Carlton; and a stepdaughter, Nancy Stoney.
