Michael William Casey

Michael William Casey, age 72 of Buffalo, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

He was born Feb. 11, 1933 in Woodland Township, near Waverly. He grew up on a farm and attended school in Waverly and Howard Lake.

Michael married Ethel Cassell in 1963, and they were later divorced.

Michael did custom farm work and later, worked as a mechanic at Herc-U-Lift.

He enjoyed working on cars in his spare time.

Since his move to Sunrise Assisted Living in Buffalo in March 2005, he enjoyed going out to eat and rides in the country.

Michael is survived by his sons, William Casey of Cass Lake, and Matthew Casey of Buffalo; siblings Pat (Gladys) Casey of Annandale, Betty (Herb) Krienke of Hutchinson, Thomas (Hazel) Casey of Cass Lake, and Joe (Jo Ann) Casey of Montrose.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters Mary Klugow and Margie Seefeldt.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Aug. 16 at 11 a.m. at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo with the Rev. Timothy Cloutier officiating. Interment followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Waverly.

Visitation took place one hour prior to the funeral service.

The Peterson Chapel of Buffalo served the family.
