Raymond Richard Fiecke

Raymond Richard Fiecke, age 77 of Winsted, died early Tuesday morning, Nov. 15 at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.

He was born June 5, 1928 in Victor Township, Wright County, the son of Albert and Mary Janisch Fiecke.

Raymond was joined in holy marriage to Leona A. Maslowski Oct. 21, 1959 in Minneapolis. God blessed their marriage with three daughters.

A farmer for many years, Raymond was also employed as a welder at Schwartz Manufacturing in Lester Prairie for 20 years.

He enjoyed collecting rocks, polishing them, and working in his welding shop.

Raymond was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.

He is survived by his wife, Leona A. Fiecke; daughters Karen (Mike) Navratil and Janet Fiecke, all of Winsted, and Doris Fiecke of Waverly; granddaughters Ashley and Kristin Navratil; a brother, Donald Fiecke of Minneapolis; a niece, Diane Marshall; a nephew, Al Fiecke; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Mary Maslowski, Ann (Leslie) Anderson, and Gerry Oswald; and other relatives and friends.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mary Fiecke; a sister-in-law, Beverly Fiecke; aunts Loretta Janisch, Sr. Marcella Janisch, OSB; Sr. Annella Fiecke, OSB; Sr. Johannella Fiecke, OSB; and Sr. Alexandria Fiecke, OSB; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Elizabeth Maslowski; and by an infant nephew.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place Friday, Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, with the Rev. Paul L. Wolf as the celebrant. Interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

Friends called Friday, Nov. 18 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the church.

Casket bearers were Mike Navratil, Al Fiecke, Tony Gueningsman, Kevin Sterner, Mike Hoernemann, and Leslie Anderson.

The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
