Olga W. Foster
Olga W. Foster, age 79 of Waconia, died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005 at Auburn West in Waconia.
She was born Sept. 22, 1926 in Camden Township, Carver County, the daughter of Fred W and Bertha (Burkowske) Lueck. She was baptized Oct. 10, 1926 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, New Germany, by the Rev. Theodore Rolf; and confirmed by the same March 17, 1940.
Olga was united in marriage to Edwin G. Foster June 8, 1947 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, New Germany, by the Rev. John Meyer.
A loving wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma, Olga loved to garden, travel, play cards, dance, and listen to Old Tyme Music.
She was a member of the Homemakers for over 20 years.
Olga was preceded in death by her daughter, Marleen Lovaasen; father and mother, Fred and Bertha Lueck; sisters Edna Lueck and Ella Schmidt; and brothers Rheinhold, William, Frederick, Roland, Hugo, Otto, Paul, and Christian Lueck.
She is survived by her loving husband, Edwin; daughter and sons-in-law Karen and Marvin Green of Nisswa, and David Lovaasen of Waconia; grandchildren Jessica Lovaasen, Alice Lovaasen, Matthew and Alicia Green, and Krista and Jason Leach; great-granddaughter Abigail; sisters Erna Wolter and Anna Buehler, both of Waconia; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Waconia, with the Rev. Peter Peitsch officiating. Interment was at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Waconia.
Casket bearers were Alden Wolter, Lester Buehler, Larry Leuck, Harlan Segler, Bruce Segler, Charles Segler, and Dale Segler.
Arrangements were by the Johnson Funeral Home of Waconia.
