Marvin Janicula, age 78 of Plymouth, and formerly of Montrose, died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005 at Ridgeview Medical Center, Waconia.
He was born Jan. 19, 1927 in Franklin Township, Wright County, the son of Frank and Clara Motzko Janicula.
Marvin was united in marriage to Lorraine V. Kalstrom Oct. 19, 1954 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly.
A veteran of World War II, Marvin was a member of the Montrose VFW Post 1901.
He was a member of the Church of St. Anne in Hamel.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lorraine, Feb 22, 1992; and sisters Lorraine Meehan and Carole Theissen.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Iris and Michael Hecker of Minnetrista; brother Jim (Joyce) Janicula of Delano; sisters Pat Janicula and Elaine Mense, both of St. Louis Park; and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law Ed Kalstrom and Merilla and Leo Socher of Montrose.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Thursday, Oct. 27 at 11 a.m. at Church of St. Anne in Hamel with the Rev. Kevin Magner officiating. Music was provided by Philip Lowe Jr. Interment followed in St. Anne’s Cemetery.
Visitation took place one hour prior to the service at the church.
Casket bearers were Gregg Theissen, Brent Theissen, Gary Janicula, Bobby Meehan, Mark Mense, and Mike Mense.
The Peterson Chapel of Buffalo served the family.
