Cecil Victor Larson
Cecil V. Larson, 61, Cokato, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at Cokato.
Services were conducted Dec. 5, at First Baptist Church of Cokato with the Rev. Dan Swanson officiating. Music was by Bonnie Johnson and Jean Paulson. Interment was at First Baptist Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Larry Hagglund, John Fagerstrom, Joel Johnson, Tom Mueller, John Noyd, David Taylor and David Zech.
Cecil Victor Larson was born Jan. 19, 1944, to Elmer and Helen (Anderson) Larson at the Cokato Hospital, Cokato.
He grew up in Cokato, graduating from Cokato High School in 1962. As a teenager he and his brothers grew and sold sweet corn as commercial growers.
He attended St. Cloud State University, receiving a B.S. degree with a major in industrial arts and coaching.
He taught in Raymond, Taylors Falls, Roseville and Willmar. He coached basketball while at Raymond. He also had done substitute teaching.
He returned to the farm and was also employed by Cargill in Minneapolis.
He was a member of the US Army Reserves for six years.
He became a faithful caregiver to his aging parents.
Survivors include brothers, Jon (Joan) of St. Louis Park, and Dale of Rockville, Md.; and four nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
