Michael John Luedke
Michael John Luedke, age 52 of Winsted, died Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at his residence.
He was born July 29, 1952 in Milwaukee, Wis., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Luedke.
Michael J. Luedke and Yvonne L. Stoneburner were joined in holy marriage Sept. 1, 1995 in Duluth.
For the past 5 1/2 years, Mike was employed at Dura Supreme in Howard Lake, as a cabinet maker. For many years, he had been employed in the food industry. Mike also formerly delivered the Hutchinson Leader to many area homes.
He was an avid reader and enjoyed auto racing.
Mike was an active and faithful member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winsted. He sang in the church choir, served as an usher, a Sunday school teacher, and a Wednesday morning release time class leader.
He is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne L. Luedke; stepchildren Tina Stoneburner, Roger Stoneburner, Bobby Lone, Eldon Lone, Rachael Lone, D.J. Carlson, Stephen Carlson & Michael Carlson; two brothers, Jeff Luedke and Robert Luedke; an aunt; other relatives, and many friends.
Funeral services were Friday, April 29 at 1 p.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winsted with the Rev. Gerald L. Boldt officiating. Sharon Pingree was the organist. Shirley Tesch, vocalist, sang “How Great Thou Art.” Congregational hymns were “I Know that My Redeemer Lives,” “Amazing Grace,” and “What A Friend We Have In Jesus.”
Friends called Thursday, April 28 at the church from 4 to 8 p.m. A prayer service took place at 6:30 p.m.
Honorary casket bearers were Mike’s Sunday school class: Anthony and Alan Fitchwell, Samantha Hackbarth, Ellie Wessling, and Amelia Chilson.
Casket bearers were Gary Wessling, Paul Gatz, Keith Berndt, Delmer Bentz, Ron Schauer, and Gary Schauer.
The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
