Jon Lowell Maynard

Jon Lowell Maynard, age 61, of Madison, Minn., formerly of Howard Lake, beloved father, peacefully passed away at his daughter’s home in St. Michael Sunday, May 29, 2005 after a courageous battle with complications from removal of a brain tumor July 2004.

Jon was preceded in death by his father, Max Maynard, and sister-in- law, Jean Maynard.

Survived, and deeply missed by daughters Cindy, St. Michael; Cheryl (Bob) Buth; grandchildren, Brady and Katelyn Buth, all of Shakopee; mother, Dorothy Maynard, Howard Lake; sisters, Harriet (Charles) Schellberg, Bellingham; Maxine Zahrbock, Watertown, S.D.; brother, Rollie Maynard, Howard Lake; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; and many beloved friends.

The memorial service for Jon was at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Howard Lake Thursday, June 2, 2005 at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Joel Swedberg officiating. The organist was Nancy Butterfass. Congregational hymns were “Amazing Grace,” “What A Friend We Have In Jesus,” and “He Leadeth Me.” Interment of Jon’s cremated remains was in Faith Lutheran Cemetery in Madison, Minn.

The Peterson Chapel of St. Michael-Albertville served the family.
