Ethel Louise Miller

Ethel Louise Miller, age 86 of Howard Lake, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005 at the Annandale Care Center.

Ethel was born March 30, 1918 at Parkers Prairie to James and Josephine (Olbeckson) Sterriker.

She graduated from Annandale High School in 1936.

Ethel married Victor L. Miller Sept. 24, 1939 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.  Ethel and Victor recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

Ethel was a homemaker at their farm in Middleville Township.  

She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, its Bible study group, and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.  

Ethel enjoyed her family, church, crafts, knitting, crocheting, visiting with friends, traveling, and spending the last 15 winters in Texas.  

She is survived by her husband, Victor of Howard Lake; children:Virgil and his wife, Claudia, of Howard Lake; Darlene Bjelland and her husband, James, of Mesa, Ariz.; and Kevin and his wife, Sherri Larson, of Howard Lake; sisters Irene Patenaude of St. Cloud, and Henrietta Anderson of Annandale; brothers James of Mound, and Marvin of Annandale; and four grandchildren:Ted Miller, and Jesse, Shay, and Aidan Bjelland.

Funeral services were Tuesday, March 1 at 11 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Middleville Township, Wright County, with the Rev. Leland Bendix officiating. Music was provided by organist Ruth Goerke and soloist Alex Smoot. Burial followed in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery.  

Visitation was Monday, Feb. 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.  

The pallbearers were Virgil, Kevin, Ted, and Alan Miller. The music for the service will be provided by organist Ruth Goerke and soloist Alex Smoot.  

Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
