Dale Lee Oliver
Dale Lee Oliver, age 59 of Howard Lake, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2005 at Buffalo hospital.
He was born April 3, 1945 in Cokato to Dale and Lorraine (Tollifson) Oliver, and grew up on the farm north of Howard Lake.
He attended Maple Grove Country School through sixth grade and graduated from Howard Lake High School with the class of 1963.
Lee farmed on the home farm for awhile, he also served for a time in the US Army Reserves.
He was employed by Mammoth Industries iin Plymouth for 13 years, then retired from the Super Valu warehouse in Hopkins after 23 years of employment.
Lee was a member of the Teamsters Union.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his dogs, Pepper and Pixie.
Lee is survived by his wife, Sharon Oliver; his mother, Lorraine Oliver of Howard Lake; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donnie and Alice Ross of Monticello, Jerry and Lois Ross of Big Lake, Joe and Jan Marquette of South Haven, Bill and Audrey Ross of Monticello, Mark and Diane Arneson of Clear Lake, Jim and Judy Hopkins of Circle Pines, and Dave Ross of Monticello; and many nieces and nephews.
Lee was preceded in death by his father, Dale Oliver; and his grandparents.
Memorial service was Saturday, Jan. 15 at 2 p.m. at Cokato Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cokato, with the Rev. Steven Josephson officiating. Music was by Michael Ross and Steve Jost. Interment followed in Sylvan Cemetery.
Ted Painschab served as casket bearer.
Visitation took place one hour prior to the service at church.
Arrangements were by Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home, Cokato and Howard Lake.
