Clarence LeRoy Ouverson obituary, 3/16/05


Clarence LeRoy Ouverson, age 79 of Delano, died Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at the Delano Health Care Center.
He was born Aug. 25, 1925 in Fortier Township, Yellow Medicine County, near Canby. He was baptized into the Lutheran faith Oct. 17, 1925 at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Canby.
Clarence married Edith Paulson June 11, 1949 in Canby.
He was a member of the Delano Sportsmen’s Club and Watertown Senior Citizens.
His great loves in life were hunting, fishing, traveling, and being with his family, especially his eight grandsons and his great-grandchildren. His other love was watching the Delano Tigers’ basketball games and cheering them on.
Clarence is survived by his wife of 55 years, Edith, of Montrose; daughters and sons-in-law Janice (Joe) Kittok of Delano, and Joanne (Kevin) Baumgartner of Aitkin; grandchildren: Staff Sgt. Joe (Shannon) Kittok Jr., John and Jacob Kittok, and David, Matthew, Eric, Todd, and Alex Baumgartner; and great-grandchildren Joey and Eve Marie Kittock.
He is further survived by brothers and sisters Frances Hoffman and Lola Ouverson, both of Canby; Margaret Molnau of Red Wing, Margery (Leon) Van de Veire of Canby, Bernice (Richard) Swedzinski of Champlin, Lorraine VanKeulen of New Ulm, Mavis (Tom) Garrett of Little Canada, Nina (Ken) Benz of Canby, and Elden (Adrienne) Ouverson of Pine City.
Funeral service was Sunday, March 20 at Light of Christ Lutheran Church in Delano. Interment followed at Delano Public Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
