Ramigio A. Raumer, 95
Ramigio A. Raumer age 95 of Buffalo, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005 at the Park View Care Center in Buffalo.
He was born July 16, 1910 to Basilio and Maria Greselin Raumer in Schio, Italy.
Ramigio was a member of the Montrose VFW, having served in the US Army during World War II. He was honorably discharged in October of 1945 at the rank of Tech 5.
Ramigio was preceded in death by his parents, Basilio and Maria Raumer; his brother, Angelo Raumer; his sister, Geraldine Lewis; and brothers-in-law Robert Lewis and Stanley Birkett.
Ramigio is survived by his wife, Eleanor; his children: daughters Marcella and Owen Lundy, Ann and Frank Purkey, and Cecelia and Kevin Lundy; and son Remigio Raumer and Sandra Mathisen; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, one great- great grandchild; brothers Raymond and Alvera Raumer and Guy and Gerri Raumer; sister Celia Birkett, and sister-in-law Audrey Raumer.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 11 a.m. at the Iten Funeral Chapel in Delano, with the Rev. Deacon Joseph Kittock officiating. Interment followed in the Elmwood Cemetery in Rockford.
Casket bearers were Tracy Vredenberg, Erick Waschek, Fred Glunz Sr., Fred Glunz Jr., Mark Purkey, Michael Purkey, Daniel Lundy, and Jeffrey Raumer.
Arrangements were by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano, MN
