Darline Patricia Regenscheid
Funeral services for Darline Patricia Regenscheid, 80, of Glencoe, were Wednesday, Dec. 21, from the Church of St. Pius X in Glencoe. Officiating was the Msgr. Eugene Lozinski.
Darline died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005 at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.
She was born May 27, 1925, in Mankato to Erwin Joseph and Emma (Steppel) Schabert. She was baptized June 8, 1925, and later confirmed into the faith April 23, 1939, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Peter.
She graduated from St. Peter High School in 1943.
After high school, Darline worked in Dayton, Wash., picking apples, and was then employed by Northwest Airlines for a short time.
She attended Cable’s Secretarial School and worked at the St. Peter State Hospital in the clerical records department beginning in 1945, eventually attaining the position of secretary to the superintendent.
Darline was united in marriage to Walter John Regenscheid May 4, 1946 in St. Peter.
After moving to Glencoe, Darline worked at Shamla’s Dress Shop and as a grading lab technician for Green Giant during the summers of 1961-1971. She then went on to help at the Glencoe Senior High School as a library aide.
Darline was a past member of the Green Giant Bowling League, the St. George Church choir, St. Pius Church women’s guild, and several card clubs. She was a member of the Church of St. Pius X.
In her spare time, Darline enjoyed reading, traveling, playing cards such as Bridge and 500, bowling, golfing, gardening and camping.
Survivors include her daughters DeAnne (David) Troska of Glencoe and Judy Regenscheid of Richfield; grandchildren, Craig (Dorreen) Troska of Belle Plaine, Kristie (Douglas) Clymer of Kasson, Kelly Troska and fiance, Terry Johnson, of Rice, Kurt (Dena) Regenscheid of Austin, and Todd Regenscheid of Woodbury; and great-grandchildren, Alexander Troska, Megan Clymer, Melinda Clymer, Madison Troska, Molly Regenscheid and Dylan Regenscheid.
Darline is further survived by a brother, Joseph (Deanne) Schabert of St. Peter; sister Maureen (Frances) McCabe of Cleveland; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Esther Regenscheid of St. Peter, Mary Regenscheid of St. Peter, Helen Pettis of St. Peter, Charles (Betty) Regenscheid of Belle Plaine, and Margaret (LeRoy) Miller of St. Peter; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; and sons Dennis Richard Regenscheid and Duane Michael Regenscheid.
The musicians were Moya McGinn Mathews, Terry Rowe, and Dottie Dolezal. Musical selections included “Alleluia! Adagio for Strings,” “Amazing Grace,” “Shepherd Me O God,” “On Eagle's Wings,” “Come To Me And Live,” “The Hand Of God Shall Hold You,” “Give Thanks For Life,” and “Ave Maria.”
Pallbearers were Craig Troska, Kurt Regenscheid, Todd Regenscheid, Jerome McCabe, Jon Schabert, and Patrick McCabe. Interment was in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in St. Peter.
Arrangements were with the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe.
