Leo Salonek, age 76 of Montrose, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005 at his home in Woodland Township.
He was born Feb. 8, 1929 to Theodore and Theresa (Lyrek) Salonek.
Leo was a lifelong farmer in Woodland Township.
He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen; and his parents, Theodore and Theresa.
Leo is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marge; sons, Jeffrey and Sharee Salonek, and Tim and Patty Salonek; daughter, Carrie and Jim Eischens; eight grandchildren: Shawn and Barbara Gavin, Angela Salonek, Diana Wreisner, Steven and Jody Salonek, Phillip Salonek, Terry Eischens, Randy Eischens, and Stephanie and Carl Duncan; and three great-grandchildren: Logan Larson, Madison Salonek, and Dempsey Duncan.
He is further survived by brothers Paul and Elaine Salonek, Urban and Rose Salonek, and Ted and Jean Salonek; and sisters Ann and George Lambrecht, and Donna and Don Bloom.
Mass of Christian Burial was Saturday, March 5 at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown.
Visitation was Friday, March 4 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Iten’s Watertown Funeral Home, and continued at the church on Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m.
Arrangements were by Iten’s Watertown Funeral Home.
