Theophil Peter Schultz obituary, 11/1/05


Theophil Peter Schultz, age 86 of Silver Lake, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005 at his residence.
He was born June 29, 1919 in Hale Township, McLeod County, the son of Frank and Sarah Pokornowski Schultz.
Theophil honorably served his country in the US Army during W.W. II in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre.
Theophil was joined in holy marriage to Dolores A. Pawlicki May 31, 1949 at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Silver Lake. God blessed their marriage with five children.
Theophil and Dolores engaged in dairy farming in Winsted Township for many years.
He loved his grandchildren. Theophil also enjoyed fishing, looking at crops, picking mushrooms, and going to the A & W restaurant.
Theophil was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dolores A. Schultz; children: Doreen (Bruce) Nowak, DeAnn (Alan) Mickolichek, Paul (Shari) Schultz, and Donna (Brad) Lokensgard, all of Silver Lake; a daughter-in-law, Donna Schultz, also of Silver Lake; 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Jaskowiak; and many other relatives and friends.
Theophil was preceded in death by a son, Gordon Schultz; his parents, Frank and Sarah Schultz; and by two brothers, Henry and Ernest.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place Thursday, Nov. 3 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake. The Rev. Robert J. Mraz was the celebrant, and Val Shamla was the organist for the Mass. Interment followed with military rites at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends called Wednesday, Nov. 2 at the Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake from 4 to 8 p.m. A prayer service took place at 6:45 p.m.
Casket bearers were Jeff Nowak, Aaron Schultz, Joshua Schultz, Kyle Schultz, Chris Mickolichek, Justin Sitz, Bryan Mickolichek, and Jared Lokensgard.
The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake served the family.
