Jack Tyler Sturges obituary, 2/25/05


Jack Tyler Sturges, infant son of Jason and Mandy Sturges of Hutchinson, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005 at the Hutchinson Community Hospital.
Jack was born Feb. 25, 2005 at 11:31 a.m. without a heartbeat. Pastor Gerhard Bode performed a service of commitment at the hospital.
In addition to his parents, Jack is survived by a brother, Connor Sturges; grandparents: Susan Mathews of Edina, Earl, Jr. and Debra Heldt of Lester Prairie, Dale and Betty Sturges of Brownton, and Richard and Marsha Hardie of Miltona; and great-grandparents Erwin and Ruth Mathews of Glencoe, and Margaret Heldt of Lester Prairie.
He is further survived by aunts and uncles: Michelle Hoaglund of Miltona, Jen and Brad Wosmek of Lawrence, Kans.; Amy Dressel of Edina, Mike Dressel of Hutchinson, Melanie Heldt of Eagan, and Justin Heldt and Jared Heldt, both of Lester Prairie; cousins, many other relatives, and friends.
Jack is preceded in death by his great-grandparents Earl Heldt, Sr.; Donald and Ruth Sturges, and Marie and Walter Opitz.
A private family funeral service took place Wednesday, March 2, with a private family burial. The Rev. Gerhard Bode officiated at the funeral service. The organist was Paul Otte, who also sang “Children of the Heavenly Father” as a solo. Congregational hymn was “Jesus Loves Me.”
Casket bearers were Jared Heldt, Justin Heldt, and Michael Schlueter.
A memorial fund has been established at Citizens Bank & Trust in Hutchinson.
