James Calvin Sturman obituary, 11/28/05


James Calvin Sturman, age 50 of Cokato, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2005 at the Cokato Manor.
He was born June 24, 1955 in Wayzata to Royal and Glenna (Drews) Sturman. He grew up in Wayzata.
After moving to Cokato in 1974, James graduated from Cokato High School with the class of 1974.
James worked at Schwartz Manufacturing in Cokato, then Lester Prairie. When Schwartz closed, James went to work in Plymouth as a machinist, working last at Advanced Machining.
He enjoyed sports, dancing, and fishing.
James is survived by his mother, Glenna, of Cokato; sister Patty of Cokato; brother Daniel (Mary) of Annandale; and nine nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Dennis.
Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. at the Swanson Peterson Funeral Home in Cokato with the Rev. Steve Thorson officiating. Music was by Kathy Murphy. Interment was in the Delano Public Cemetery.
Visitation was from noon to 2 pm. Saturday, Dec. 3 at the Swanson Peterson Funeral Home.
Casket bearers were Jimmy Gust, Kenny Gust, Daniel Sturman, Randy Sturman, Steven Sturman, and Tom Tapio.
Arrangements were by Swanson Peterson Funeral Home, Cokato.
