Glenard ‘Glen’ Trittabaugh, 80

Glenard E. “Glen” Trittabaugh, age 80 of New Germany, died Monday, June 20, 2005 at his home.

Glen was born Oct. 2, 1924 at New Germany, the son of Henry G. and Lillian C. (Will) Trittabaugh. He was baptized Oct. 19, 1924 at St. Mark Lutheran Church in New Germany by the Rev. Theodore Rolf, and confirmed April 10, 1938 by the same.

He graduated from Central High School, Norwood Young America.

After taking a course in welding at Dunwoody Institute, Glen worked with his father in painting, decorating, and floor sanding.

Glen was united in marriage to Gloria D. Mueller June 15, 1947 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg by the Rev. L. Wohlfeil.

Glen and Gloria lived most of their married life in New Germany, except for three years when they lived in Hutchinson. They had the pleasure of celebrating their 58th wedding anniversary this year.

Glen took part in the village social and civic committees. He was a member of the New Germany Fire Department in his earlier years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, doing his taxidermy, and being with his family.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lillian Trittabaugh, father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Helen Mueller, and sister-in-law Marvel Holicky.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria; daughters and sons-in-law Nancy and John Freese of Rochester, and Mary and John Krippner of Hutchinson; and grandchildren David Freese, Christa Krippner, and Jennifer Freese.

Glen is further survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Frank Holicky of Minneapolis, John and Dorothy Mueller of Hamburg, Stan and Doreen Kloth of Eden Prairie, and Delford and Helene Olson of Bemidji; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services were Thursday, June 23 at 10:30 a.m. from Christ The King Lutheran Church in Hutchinson with the Revs. Jon Lindekugel and Thor Skeie officiating. Interment was in the Crow River Cemetery, New Germany.

Casket bearers were Douglas Trittabaugh, Greg Trittabaugh, Paul Kloth, Larry Mueller, Bob Zabel, Ted Oelfke, Tom Mueller, and Peter Olson.

Arrangements were by the Johnson Funeral Home of Waconia.
