Monica S. Valenzuela
Monica S. Valenzuela, age 27 of Montrose, died Saturday, June 4, 2005 at her residence.
She was born June 25, 1977 in Devils Lake, N.D., the daughter of Bradley and JoAnn LeNoir Johnson.
Monica and Richard D. Valenzuela were joined in holy marriage March 6, 1999 in Fridley. God blessed their marriage with two sons.
Monica was employed as a medical assistant at the MINGI Clinic in Plymouth.
She is survived by her loving husband, Richard D. Valenzuela; sons Angelo and Lorenzo; her parents, Bradley and JoAnn Johnson of Minneapolis; and brothers and sisters, William (Marita) Scheer, Shelly (James) McCormick, Jenell (Tom) Brule, and John (Lana) Johnson.
Monica is further survived by grandmothers Amelia LeNoir and Hazel Nelson; father-in-law Sal Valenzuela; mother-in-law Mary Mendoza; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Lupie (Felix) Banuelos, Sal (Terresa) Valenzuela Jr., Diana and Rosie Valenzuela, Rudy Valenzuela, Sal Valenzuela III, Johnny Valenzuela and Isreal Valenzuela; grandmother-in-law Carmen Valenzuela; 23 nieces and nephews; and many uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends.
Monica was preceded in death by an infant son, Richard Valenzuela Jr.; grandfathers John LeNoir and Ernest Johnson; uncle Jay Monette; and aunts Marie Dorheim and Lynette LeNoir.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place Saturday, June 11 at 9:30 a.m. at The Church of St. Mary in Waverly. The Rev. Timothy Cloutier was the celebrant.
Honorary casket bearers were Monica’s uncles. Casket bearers were: Blain LeNoir, Craig Monette, Jason Tester, Bennett Moser, Melvin Monette, and Ryan Rud.
Friends called at the church Friday, June 10 from 5 to 7 p.m.
The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
