Odella Emma Vollrath
Odella Emma Vollrath, age 72 of Grand Rapids, and formerly of Hollywood Township and Hutchinson, died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2005 at her home.
Odella was born Feb. 18, 1933 in Hollywood Township, Carver County, to Christ and Martha (Sterner) Knott. She grew up and attended Holy Trinity School in Winsted.
She was united in marriage to Francis Radtke Oct. 9, 1953. Francis and Odella made their home in Lester Prairie, where they owned and operated a lumber yard.
After Francis died, Odella moved to Hutchinson, where she was employed by the 3-M Corporation.
Odella married Marvin Vollrath Sept. 28, 1986. They moved to Grand Rapids in 1997.
Odella was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
She loved gardening and fishing.
In addition to her first husband, Francis Radtke, Odella was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Lawrence, Albert, and Leander Knott; and two sisters, Mary Richter and Esther Knott.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin; three daughters, Teresa (Jerry) Gregory of Farmington, Amy Radtke of Brooklyn Park, and Michelle (John) Deuhs of Inver Grove Heights; two stepdaughters, Elizabeth Vollrath of St. Paul, and Paula (Darwin) Abraham of Gaylord; two sons, Michael (Luba) Radtke of Champlin, and Thomas (Nancy) Radtke of Silver Lake; one stepson, Marvin Vollrath Jr. of Coon Rapids; one brother, Norbert Knott of New Germany; and 11 grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was Thursday, Aug. 18 at 1 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, with the Rev. Fr. Paul Wolf officiating. Burial was in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Winsted.
Visitation was Wednesday, Aug. 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Rowe Funeral Home in Grand Rapids, and continued one hour prior to the service at the church in Winsted.
Memorials are preferred to Itasca Hospice.
