William David Woollard, age 59 of Rockford, died Thursday, March 24, 2005 at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale from complications of diabetes.
He was born June 11, 1945 in Wyandotte, Mich., the son of William D. Woollard and Catherine Donnay.
Will grew up on a farm outside of Howard Lake, and attended school there.
He was joined in holy marriage to Kathleen M. Bukowski Aug. 16, 1968 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly. God blessed their marriage with three children.
Will was formerly employed as a process engineer by General Motors.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Kathleen M. Woollard; sons, Bret Woollard of Rockford, and Cory Woollard of Lewiston, Mich.; a daughter, Dionne “DiDi” (Carey) Fitzgerald of Toledo, Ohio; and granddaughters, Caitlin and Shannon.
Will is further survived by brothers and sisters: Bob (Irene) Kutz and Terry Kutz, all of Winsted, David (Barb) Kutz of Loretto, Deborah (Joe) Herda of Millington, Tenn.; LuAnn (John) Millican of Hitchcock, Texas; Tim (Linda) Kutz of Las Vegas, Nev.; and Lonna (Sonny) Martinez of Yakima, Wash.; a sister-in-law, Sandy Fiecke of Lester Prairie; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, William D. Woollard; a brother, Larry Kutz; his mother, Catherine Kutz; stepfather Elmer Kutz; nephew Mark Kutz; and a sister-in-law, Sandra Kutz.
A funeral service took place Monday, March 28 at 4 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Paul L. Wolf officiated, and Lavon Kielkucki was the organist.
Private interment followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Waverly.
Friends called Monday, March 28 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.
Casket bearers were Michael, Brandon, Jason, and Matthew Kutz; John Franzen, George Chobin, and Joe Faue.
The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
