Michael Leo Zanoth
Michael Leo Zanoth, age 49 of rural Silver Lake, died recently at his residence.
He was born Sept. 25, 1955 in Hutchinson, the son of Thomas and Gladys (Makowski) Zanoth, Sr.
Michael attended St. Joseph’s School through the sixth grade, and graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1973.
He engaged in dairy farming in Hale Township.
Michael enjoyed playing cards, baseball, football, helping people, and loved to work outside.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake.
Michael is survived by his sisters and a brother, Mary Jo (Albert) Ardolf, Thomas (Ruth) Zanoth, Jr., Rita (Dennis) Worshek, and Lois (Ronald) Miskosky, all of Silver Lake; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his grandparents, Leo and Emma Zanoth, and Stephen and Anna Makowski.
Mass of Christian Burial was Saturday, May 21 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake with the Rev. Robert Mraz officiating. Alice Nowak was the organist for the Mass. Congregational hymns were “Here I Am, Lord,” “On Eagle’s Wings,” “Be Not Afraid,” and “Amazing Grace.” Interment was in the Holy Family Cemetery, Silver Lake.
Casket bearers were nephews and nephews-in-law Josh Krych, Bruce Ardolf, Jeff Mallak, Jeff Kranz, Dave Dostal, Scott Ardolf, Mike Boyer, and Mark Worshek.
