Olga H. Anderson
Olga H. Anderson, age 92, of Delano, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006 at St. Mary’s Senior Living Center in Winsted.
She was born Sept. 25, 1913 to Robert and Minnie (Kutz) Barfknecht.
A lifelong resident of Delano, Olga and her husband, Harry, shared 62 years of marriage, as well as a lifelong devotion to their farm, sawmill, and their family.
Olga was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; grandsons Shawn and Jeff Anderson; daughter-in-law LuAnn Anderson; sisters Ida Dalbec, Lizzie Soley, Agnes Offerman, and Minnie Luffey; and brothers Gus and Albert Barfknecht,.
She is survived by her sons, Edward Anderson and special friend Delores Walstrom, Donald and Judy Anderson, and Daniel Anderson; grandchildren Kim and John Farniok, Dean Anderson, Chris Anderson and special friend Trasi Ergen, and Ricky and Brenda Anderson; seven great-grandchildren; sisters Elma Ehalt, and Lorna Blauert; and sister-in-law Charlotte Gast.
Funeral service was Friday, Aug. 25 at 10 a.m. at the Light of Christ Lutheran Church in Delano with the Rev. Lee Hallstrom officiating. Interment was in the Delano Public Cemetery.
Visitation took place Thursday, Aug. 24 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano; and continued Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church, prior to the funeral service.
Casket bearers were Dean Anderson, Chris Anderson, Ricky Anderson, John Farniok, Jerry Gast, and Jerry Eggersgluss.
Arrangements were by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
